Why is it that when your kids leave home again, I feel homless! My son Nick spent the last 5 months with us as he was struggling to stay employed as an electrician. I loved having him here and I got to be very supportive in helping him along his way. We really bonded, went to movies and I even got to share my first beer with Nick at the Coors Brewery in Golden, Co. It was really fun to see him encouraged and accepted and loved by our faith community! He studied for almost 3 months and finally passed his Journeyman’s exam! I was blessed to see Nick have a grin on his face as he was publically recognized by Kevin Potter and prayed for.
So I had a big lump in my chest and uncontrollable tears followed as I pondered his leaving and tears of joy to see him progress in life with courage and gentleness. He has truely blessed me in these last few months together.
